Away

A person marks themselves away and names a stand-in:
away_until is a date (to the end of that day, UTC), a date-time, or "" (back); delegate is another member’s email, or "". While they’re away, asks on their rules go to:
  1. their stand-in, when the stand-in is a member and not away themselves;
  2. else an editor of the rules (an expert of the rule, or someone who approved its rule set) who is here;
  3. else the workspace admins.
The away owner can still answer; they just aren’t pinged.

Gone

A rule whose owner is no longer a member (they left the workspace, or the owner is a name no member answers to) is orphaned. Its asks follow the same order (their stand-in if they named one, an editor of the rules, the admins), it is listed on GET /api/rules/health (editors and admins: orphaned, owner away, no owner) and in the admins’ weekly digest, until someone takes it:
Editors, admins, or the current owner handing it over; the new owner must be a member. It’s a new rule version.

The weekly “still true?” digest

Monday at 09:00 in the workspace’s time zone (PUT /api/digest/settings {"tz": "Europe/Berlin"}, admins), each owner gets one message — a Slack DM or an email, on their channel, held during their quiet hours — with the rules they own that need a look: Each has Keep, Retire and Edit. Keep and Retire are one-tap links (signed for that person and rule, valid 14 days; opening one never acts, the button does). Keep quiets the rule’s flags for 90 days; Retire removes it as that person (its version closes, never deleted). Edit opens the rules in Claros. Owners with nothing flagged get nothing. GET /api/digest/preview shows your own digest as it would go out now.
